Saddam updates

June 30th, 2004 by mjg

Saddam will appear in court tomorrow, along with 11 of his closest buddies, including “Chemical Ali”.

Saddam has been given back to Iraq, but is still in physical custody of US forces.

Iraq is reinstating the death penalty, but will offer amnesty to people who “do not have their countrymen’s blood on their hands”.

Tony Blair was opposed to the death penalty, but there was nothing that he could have really done.

It appears that Saddam will get the death penalty.

Kerry / Clinton

June 30th, 2004 by mjg

It appears that Kerry may choose Hillary Rodham Clinton has his Vice President.

However, that means Hillary would have LIED (no big suprise right?) to the people in NY. She said that she would stay with them for at least six years. She would of course be breaking this promise.

She would also have to answer to all of her scandals that she took part in.

I, personally, don’t think she will do this, not only because of the above reasons, but because she would like to run for President in 2008. If she gets on a ticket w/ Kerry, and wins, she will not have a chance until 2012. She also knows that Kerry will DRIVE this country into a hole, and most likely doesn’t want to have anything to do with that. Thus why I think she will take a step back and say NO.

Hillary???

June 29th, 2004 by spp

At a Democratic fund-raiser, Hillary Clinton said: “Many of you are well enough off that … the tax cuts may have helped you,”...”We’re saying that for America to get back on track, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” Wow! That’s a scary statement. The common good???

Democrat Senator to speak out!

June 28th, 2004 by mjg

Well it appears that Senator Zell Miller (D) from GA is going to speak at the Republican National Convention. Senator Zell Miller’s thinking is correct, why support a loser? So he instead of supporting a loser (loser being Kerry), he has decided to support a winner. That winning being George W. Bush.

Good job Zell Miller!

Democrats hire felons to handle personal information

June 28th, 2004 by mjg

Great job Kerry, glad you won’t get elected for me to see how you would handle national security confidential information.

It is disturbing that the voter mobilization arm of the Democratic Party is proudly hiring felons convicted of sex offenses, assault and burglary to go house to house and handle sensitive personal information.

Democrat voters should be leery of opening their doors to political operatives until the Democrats can assure them that a convicted felon won’t be on the other side.

Sad to see that Kerry’s team is gladding putting people at risk to try and win a few votes. Great job Kerry!

Double Standard?

June 25th, 2004 by mjg

The Clinton administration talked about firm evidence linking Saddam Hussein’s regime to Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda network years before President Bush made the same statements.

Of course all the liberals HATE Bush because he said there were ties, and they couldn’t PROVE any ties existed between Saddam and 9/11 (big difference right?) So why aren’t the liberals hating on Clinton for saying the same thing? Why isn’t Gore making a moron out of himself about Clinton saying these things?

In fact, during President Clinton’s eight years in office, there were at least two official pronouncements of an alarming alliance between Baghdad and al Qaeda.

So now the councel is getting somewhere. Good job guys!

Mr. Bush cited the linkage, in part, to justify invading Iraq and ousting Saddam. He said he could not take the risk of Iraq’s weapons falling into bin Laden’s hands.

Here Bush is 100% correct; However, with a Republican President my liberal friends have to see the lives wasted before we invade. If we had a democrat as President it would be a whole different story with the liberals. Why were the liberals not up in arms during Milosevics Kosovo to protect the muslims from a slaughter beign waged against them, Bosnia, Haiti and Somalia? Why didn’t Michael Moore create movies about those? Liberals hate this war, because it is Bush in office, had it been anyone else, they wouldn’t care about it. The ideal that this war is about oil and imperialism would have never come up. Thats pretty shallow eh?

The indictment disclosed a close relationship between al Qaeda and Saddam’s regime, which included specialists on chemical weapons and all types of bombs, including truck bombs, a favorite weapon of terrorists.

For liberals NOT GOOD ENOUGH (with a republican president), again, the lives MUST be wasted first before they will allow the protecting of our homeland.

Absolutely ridiculous!

Reagan Vs. Clinton

June 21st, 2004 by mjg

An Associated Press poll will show that 7 out of 10 Americans think that “Reagan a superior president than Clinton”.

So that really means like 8 out of 10 people think he is was a better President; 9 out of 10 people would vote for him again, and that 1 out of 10 don’t really know what they are talking about.

The poll has not been released yet; once it is released, I’ll provide a link to the poll.

Kerry Falling?

June 21st, 2004 by mjg

Quick breakdown of the Poll

Percentage of Bush voters who will vote for him rather than vote against Kerry: 73% (current)
Percentage of Kerry voters who are voting for Kerry rather than a vote against Bush: 37% (lowest in history)
Percentage of Bush voters who will vote simply as a vote against Kerry: 23%
Percentage of Kerry voters who will vote simply as a vote against Bush: 59%
Support of Military effort in Iraq jumped from 46% (in may) to 57%
Percentage of the public who believes it was right to go to war went from 51% (in may) to now 55%

Seems like Bush supporters like Bush, while Kerry supports don’t like Kerry.

Bush is on a steady rise while Kerry is steadily slipping.

9/11 panel… Again!

June 21st, 2004 by mjg

WASHINGTON, June 20 (UPI)—The commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks has received new information indicating that a senior officer in an elite unit of the security services of deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein may have been a member of al-Qaida involved in the planning of the suicide hijackings, panel members said Sunday.

Really, even though Bush never said there was evidence of ties, now there appears to be some. Thank you 9/11 panel for not doing your job and waiting to hear everything before making a decision. Also thank you for exploiting the truth (you know what I mean, making it sound like Bush said something that he never said) Your doing great to try and ruin America.

Liberal Idealism

June 20th, 2004 by cherith

You know I’ve heard it a thousand times, but it still surprises me when I see it. Do you know what seems to be the tie between why all liberals are liberal? They see all these problems in the world and they want someone in the government to come along and fix them all in a way that works for every single person. Guess what guys? It just isn’t possible and that is why it is not the business of the government to solve the world’s problems. It is the business of average Joe Citizen to do that. Its called activism and when applied correctly – it works! Do you see a problem? Have you heard a sad story recently and thought to yourself – “It seems like someone could do something about that”? WELL…Do something about it! Start a charity, find a charity that already exists and help out, volunteer your time,...DO SOMETHING! Don’t sit around and stew about it and get all upset because the government isn’t fixing all the world’s problems. It just can’t be done. But YOU can make a difference. DO IT!

A review of Clinton’s new book:

June 20th, 2004 by mjg

The book, which weighs in at more than 950 pages, is sloppy, self-indulgent and often eye-crossingly dull the sound of one man prattling away, not for the reader, but for himself and some distant recording angel of history.

Who could have thought that Clinton would do this? Clinton self-indulgent? No, can’t be!

In fact, “My Life” reads like a messy pastiche of everything that Mr. Clinton ever remembered and wanted to set down in print; he even describes the time he got up at 4 a.m. to watch the inaugural ceremonies for Nigeria’s new president on TV. There are endless litanies of meals eaten, speeches delivered, voters greeted and turkeys pardoned.

This really doesn’t come as a surprise to us here at FJRP. Infact, we had predicted that this would be the case w/ Clinton’s book.

Maybe a fair reporter?

June 18th, 2004 by mjg

To hear much of the news reporting yesterday, you’d think a national 9/11 Commission report had blown a giant hole in the Bush administra tion’s rationale for toppling Saddam Hussein

That is very true, you will notice a post that I made saying this was going to happen just minutes after the 9/11 findings were released.

The commission did no such thing.

Not according to the democrats. But why let facts get in their way!

But that didn’t stop congressional Democrats led by presumptive presidential nominee John Kerry from renewing their charges that the administration “misled America” about Saddam Hussein’s ties to Osama bin Laden.

Again, that’s not what the report says.

Of course, why not politicize off of it? Make lies etc, nothing new from Kerry.

The staff report, re leased as part of yes terday’s final public hearings, says there was no evident connection between Saddam Hussein and the 9/11 attacks.

In fact, the Bush administration has never said there was.

The report also says the commission has “no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States.”

Again, the administration never said there was.

But that doesn’t matter to liberals, they just make stuff up.

But what if substantive Osama-Saddam ties were for real? Just because the Kean commission hasn’t yet found any evidence does not mean it doesn’t exist.

That is an excellent point!

The path to victory is not clear, but the alternative is one, two, many 9/11’s each more horrific than its predecessor.

^ Why is that so hard to understand?

Gosh! I don’t know, liberals need to have a third, fourth, and fifth attack before they will understand. Or a liberal President (one of the two).

Responsibility in Arabia

June 17th, 2004 by drg

By DRG
FJRP Correspondent

Novgorod the Great, Russian Federation—The CNN.com headline reads “the status of an American being held hostage in Saudi Arabia was described as “grim” by a U.S. lawmaker who met with a Saudi official Wednesday.”

Here’s my question. Why the hell are we still pretending to be friendly with this theocratic regime. It has been obvious for many that the Saudi Royals have been placating the west and fundamentalist Wahabbis in their kingdom. It is, therefore, no surprise that these things will happen in the country. For too long the Saudis have condoned islamic terrrorism in order to not have the fundamentalists challenge their domestic authority.

Now is the time to get out of the kingdom and to drastically change our policy with the regime.

On the record again,

June 17th, 2004 by mjg

Clinton is going on the record again with 60 minutes’ Dan Rather. It has been reported that Clinton (again) will show his support for the war. Dan Rather even went as far to say “Clinton was “supportive” of President Bush on Iraq and that “it will surprise some people.” That should be very interesting.

Clinton will also be talking about his new book, and 60 minutes will air his story this sunday.

Tony Blair says al-Qaida was in Iraq

June 17th, 2004 by mjg

British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s office says al-Qaida agents worked in Iraq while Saddam was in power.

Bush says he didn’t say that!

June 17th, 2004 by mjg

“This administration never said that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated between Saddam and al-Qaeda. We did say there were numerous contacts between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda,” said the president.

Well, if your liberal, I know what your thinking. Demand a Bush Statement Panel (much like the 9/11 panel) to analize Bush’s statements and try to prove what he said was not really what he said.

However, you will find the above statement to be true. Bush never did say that Saddam was behind the 9/11 attacks (which I have been screaming sense the 9/11 findings were released to the public), and even our own 9/11 panel did find contacts between al Qaeda and Saddam.

Guess what? More breaking news!

June 16th, 2004 by mjg

Commission reports “no credible evidence” that al Qaeda and Iraq were working together to pull of the 9/11 attacks on United States.

Who cares, I don’t recall President Bush saying that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 attacks. He put Iraq on the axis of terror, where they should have been I might add. Infact, Bush SAID that there was no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved w/ 9/11 (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3118262.stm, http://www.dailytexanonline.com/news/2003/09/18/WorldNation/Saddam.Not.Involved.In.911.Bush.Says-468829.shtml, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,97527,00.html// Rumsfeld says Saddam not involved (See http://online.wsj.com/article/0,,BT_CO_20030916_006829,00.html). Most of these article say that the thinking behind Saddam and 9/11 was preconceived by the American people. Bush did say that Iraq had ties to al-Qaeda, which I firmly believe that they did.

Guess what is going to happen now, the media is going to exploit this to no end, and my liberal bloggers will post about how Bush lied to us, when in-fact, he never did.

Link to article coming soon.
EDIT:

Also put a link to Rumsfeld saying Saddam not involved (of course this being disclosed WAY before the 9/11 panel). To find out what I really think about this panel, please see my What If Game

I knew it!

June 16th, 2004 by mjg

Well, I’d like to thank MyWay’s HOPE YEN for being the first reporter, that I have seen, to exploite the 9/11 panel findings.

Mr. Yen quickly starts the article off with:

WASHINGTON (AP) – Bluntly contradicting the Bush administration, the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks reported Wednesday there was “no credible evidence” that Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaida target the United States.

President Bush and Donald Rumsfeld came out MUCH earlier saying there was no evidence, why is this news worthy now Hope Yen? (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3118262.stm, http://www.dailytexanonline.com/news/2003/09/18/WorldNation/Saddam.Not.Involved.In.911.Bush.Says-468829.shtml, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,97527,00.html// Rumsfeld says Saddam not involved (See http://online.wsj.com/article/0,,BT_CO_20030916_006829,00.html). So I ask you sir, how are their findings “Bluntly contradicting the Bush administration, the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks reported Wednesday there was “no credible evidence” that Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaida target the United States.” news worthy? Oh thats right, you make it sound like the Bush administration said that Saddam was tied w/ 9/11.

While Saddam dispatched a senior Iraqi intelligence official to Sudan to meet with bin Laden in 1994, the commission said it had not turned up evidence of a “collaborative relationship.”

WHAT MORE EVIDENCE DO YOU NEED? Look at it this way, would we send Donald Rumsfeld to talk w/ Osama about creating terrorist training camps? NO, that would be crazy. But guess what? If we wanted to build a terrorist relationship w/ Osama only then would we send Rumsfeld to talk about the possiblity of setting up camps in the United States.

On Monday, Vice President Dick Cheney said in a speech that the Iraqi dictator “had long established ties with al-Qaida.”

Yeah, didn’t Saddam send his senior Iraqi intelligence official to meet with Osama?

“Bin Laden is said to have requested space to establish training camps, as well as assistance in procuring weapons, but Iraq apparently never responded,” the report said. “There have been reports that contacts between Iraq and al-Qaida also occurred” after bin Laden moved his operations to Afghanistan in 1996, “but they do not appear to have resulted in a collaborative relationship,” it said.

Couldn’t it be that the U.N. was all over Iraq at that point, why give the U.N. and the United States more reason to attack you. Had the U.N. not been all over Iraq, Saddam prolly would have given him space. (lets not be soo stupid here)

“Two senior bin Laden associates have adamantly denied that any ties existed between al-Qaida and Iraq,” the report said.

Golly, they must be telling the truth. I mean why would they lie to us? So if they said it, it’s gotta be true!

Hope Yen, the first part of this message was really the only part directed towards you (I understand that the rest of the article was just quotes taken from the panel.) However, your first statement was “Bluntly contradicting the Bush administration, the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks reported Wednesday there was “no credible evidence” that Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaida target the United States.” I find your statement of “Bluntly contradicting the Bush administration” to be rhetoric.

Surprising Russian coverage of the Reagan funeral

June 15th, 2004 by drg

By DRG
FJRP Correspondent

Novgorod the Great, Russian Federation—”The evil empire” or “the root of all evil in the world” are a few of some of the quotes the gipper used to desribe the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the early 1980s. Who could argue in those days? The Soviets had invaded Afghanistan in ‘79, supported communist uprisings in Nicaragura and El Salvador and shot down a Korean Airlines 747 flying astray over Sakhlain Island in Soviet airspace.

Then came the deaths of 3 Russian leaders over a 2 1/2 year period – 1982 Brezhnev, 1984 Andropov, 1985 Chernenko….and then came Mikhail Gorbachev and the new policy of Glasnost (Political “openess”) and Peristroika (economic “restructuring”) Peace treaties, such as the Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile Treaty were signed as the two most powerful people in the world came closer together.

But Reagan was relentless in his denunciation of the communist system as being fundamentally evil. It was his policy, throughout the 80s, to not contain socialism but to roll it back. Reagan stood at the Brandenburg gate in Berlin and demanded, with the whole German populace watching, that Gorbachev remove the facade that so well depicted the evils of the ideology.

Without Reagan, the Soviet Union may have lingered into the 90s – possible into the Clinton administration – a scary notion indeed!

The reaction to his funeral has been amazingly posative throughout Russian television. I assumed that old cold war wounds would re-open, but it has been exactly the oppostie. Based on the TV coverage one would think that most of today’s Russians liked the man?

But why? I asked a few Russians about this. Their answer: “He seems like a nice guy, someone you like.” And that, my friends was the magic of the gipper. He wasn’t a kneiving politician or an egghead academic, but a real person. I only wish that more people in politics, especially pin heads like Gore or Kerry, could be as real of an individual as he was.

Clinton calls it off!

June 15th, 2004 by mjg

Clinton calls off his book signing at the Democratic National Convention, DNC. Mainly because people are afraid Clinton will steal the spotlight. What? Clinton steals the spotlight? Would he steal the spot light? Anyway, I don’t think it’s really going to matter Clinton is going to steal the spot light anyway that he can. Examples you ask? What about when he came out for Bush about the war? (Note, this was during the time when all of the Democratic Party was slamming Bush over the Iraq war) Or how about in his new book, where he said “If you go back and read what (Bush) said in the campaign, hes just doing what hed said hed do. Youve got to give him credit for that. The releasing of his new book is yet another attempt to steal the spot light. More to the point, I think Clinton now realizes how messed up the Democratic Party is and wants Bush to win another term.

Of course, it could be a big political scheme where Clinton comes out for President Bush because he would like to become the first, first gentleman, in 08.

Michael Moore Kept Prison Abuses Secret

June 14th, 2004 by spp

Any “moral highground” Michael Moore claimed to have regarding the war and other issues, has been totally destroyed with this whole prison abuse thing. He told a reporter: “I had it months before the story broke on ‘60 Minutes,’ and I really struggled with what to do with it,’’. How dare he say anything about the prison scandal when he knew months earlier and did nothing. He knew he could personally profit from it. As if we needed any further evidence that he’s a whack job…

A man of honor

Can I just say that President Bush makes me so proud. I love this man. Today he was given the opportunity to give the Clintons a royal snubbing but instead he rose above it and said nothing but kind and generous things. The Lincoln Memorial

June 12th, 2004 by cherith

As I mentioned in a previous entry, my husband and I recently took a trip to D.C. and while visiting the Lincoln Memorial I was struck with a revelation. Over a hundred years ago when Abraham Lincoln was president, his party the Republicans made a stand. They said, a man should not be forced to work without being allowed to receive the fruits of his labor. And what did this do? It launched the civil rights movement. Well here we are today- except that over time it has become the Democrats who are seen as the civil rights activists. And thats fine because the way I see it, the Republicans have not budged one bit on the real issue. Furthermore, it is my humble opinion that we are still on the right side of the issue. The difference? The issue itself has done a 180. A hundred and forty some years ago the Republicans said, Man should get what he works for. Today we are saying, Man should work for what he gets. Over the past century and a half an entitlement attitude has taken over the civil rights movement. It is assumed that if you dont support handouts and the programs that give the handouts, you dont support civil rights. All we are saying is what is a thing worth to a person if he didnt work for it? Nothing. My father-in-law always says, Its the difference between renting and owning. If something is mine because I earned it, I am much more likely to make wise decisions when putting it to use. Whether the thing is money, a home, or even groceries. If I earn it – I respect it. It is not the job of government to make sure everyone has a job or a place to live or enough food to eat. That is the job of the individual. We have to take responsibility for ourselves. Its what makes capitalism work. If I am driven to succeed then not only do I benefit myself but society as a whole. If I sit on my butt and wait for someone to take care of me then not only do I harm society as a whole but I also harm myself. And so Republicans remain unchanged in their stand Man should get what he works for and work for what he gets

I like the What If game

June 12th, 2004 by mjg

Lets play some more of the what if game.

What if we never went into Iraq, and America was attacked again, but Saddam was clearly behind it. What would happen?

The liberals would be up in arms about how Bush could have stopped this. He had enough fire power to invade Iraq earlier, but he didn’t. They (the liberals) would site the U.N. rules that Iraq has broken over the last several years, and question Bush why he didn’t invade earlier with this intelligence.

Of course, that didn’t happen did it folks? Could it be that we invaded a good time, to stop Saddam’s ties to terror? I believe so, if you ask a liberal they will give a pathetic response about how this war is really about Oil (this is just ignorant (btw, ignorant is the word of the week)) and imperialism (also ignorant I might add).

What is odd, is that several democrats, includding John Kerry supported and voted yea to goto war. But as soon as election time comes around, they are quick to jump away from that, and start slamming Bush about the progress of the war.

To me, the Iraqi war progress is going quite well. Look at what we have done, and we have done it in record time, with a record miminimum amount of lives lost.

Final Farewell to Reagan

June 11th, 2004 by spp

As I watched the funeral for President Reagan I couldn’t help but think how great a man this was. I listened to the various speakers talk about his passion for his wife, his country, and his God. We could all learn a lot from this man. God bless Ronald Reagan and God bless America!

Good point Ryan!

June 11th, 2004 by mjg

You know, I was talking to my friend Ryan today at lunch, he brought up a very good point, and I thought I would share that here.

He was telling me about hearing a radio show or reading an article that played the what if game. This what if game was about 9/11, here is how it went:

What if the United States of American invaded Afghanistan September 9th, (before the WTC attacks) what would be the liberal public opinion? You got it; they would be up in arms (much like they are now with Iraq). They would spout about how Afghanistan has done nothing to the United States, and would call for the resignation of all the top people, including President Bush.

Interesting, sounds like the current war with Iraq doesnt it?

Continuing the What if Game, because President Bush invaded Afghanistan September 9th. The WTC attacks never occur, saving a lot of American lives. This would mean nothing to the liberals, because they refuse to believe that anything could possibly happen to the United States and would continue to complain about how the war in Afghanistan is about Oil and imperialism.

However, this didnt happen, so what do liberals do instead; they start an inquiry about the attacks on 9/11. Making outrageous claims that President Bush knew of the attacks before hand, and that we could have stopped this before it happen (this is where the first part of the what if game comes into play).

Moral of the story is that President Bush could be saving thousands of American lives. We have no idea, but to you liberals you could care less if he saves lives, you have to see the lives wasted first before taking action.

Liberals only care about Iraq because it is George W. Bush, and not some worthless democrat. Had it been a worthless democrat conducting this war in Iraq, they would be in full support. Just how they were in full support for Clintons conflicts

Chris from American Liberty Journal is right on when he made this statement on another site When the shoe is on the other foot you are so quick to take it off.

Over the past several days we have all had the honor of watching a real lady of class. Her husband made us all proud to be Americans and Nancy Reagan makes me proud to be a woman.

McCain rejects Kerry

June 11th, 2004 by mjg

Kerry gets rejected by McCain. Apparently that moron Kerry actually asked John McCain to become his running mate (the associated press has learned). Kerry, let me say this, you a fool for even asking, though I’m glad you did. As I’ve said many times on this site and several others, by Kerry asking McCain to run with him is a clear sign of a failing party.

Woman = Liberal???

June 9th, 2004 by cherith

Ok, so Im really fed up with the liberal left thinking they speak for all women. Because take it from one woman who uses her brain to think instead of her emotions, they dont! I was recently on a trip to Washington D.C. with my husband, and we noticed several middle-aged women walking around with buttons which read M.O.B. Mothers Opposed to Bush. It made me sick to my stomach to think that these women were walking around filling a stereotype and that they were proud of it to boot! Well this mother wont fold. I say its time more of us start speaking up ladies! We are NOT a bunch of mindless bimbos who think the world is some magical place where if everyone would just stop cutting down the trees and start throwing away their guns we could finally achieve peace on earth. There are plenty of us out there who understand that people are fallible and therefore we cannot put ideals into our politics. We have to use our brains girls. If guns were the problem then there would have been no murders before its introduction. And that is just one of a hundred issues that the left loves to lump us all together on. Lets put our foot down and say NO MORE!

PBS???

June 7th, 2004 by spp

Is it just me or is it a little odd that this week, the week of dedication and remembering one of the greatest presidents in our country’s history, PBS would run a series on Jimmie Carter…arguably the worst president???

Do WMD’s really matter? Only if your a liberal.

June 6th, 2004 by mjg

It’s amazing how liberals are able to lose site of what Clinton did during his administration. Only because Bush is president do they not like this war. What about when Clinton bombed Iraq several times? What about Clinton’s other conflicts? I’ve heard from democrats why do we care what is going on over there? That is only because Bush is president do they ask these questions. Where were the questions from you democrats during the Milosevic’s Kosovo to protect the muslims from a slaughter beign waged against them, also Bosnia, Haiti, Somalia. Infact, it reminded me of an article I wrote sometime ago. Here it is again:

We also stoped other dictators from engaging in atrocities within their own boarders. Throughout the Clinton administration we violated the sovereignty of many nations in order to protect the people from atrocities.(see Milosevic’s Kosovo to protect the muslims from a slaughter beign waged against them, also Bosnia, Haiti, Somalia and Manuel Norweiga’s Panama under HW Bush). None of these countries has WMD. We have a situation in Iraq where a brutal dictator persecutes his people AND has weapons of mass destruction. Oh, I forgot, you probably believe the Iraqi Information minister when he says that Iraq “have no weapons of mass destruction.” There are people who don’t believe in the Holocaust either Mike. If the U.S. found a nuke in Iraq
with “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue” written as the adress, people like you would still belive that we just need to give the weapons inspectors more time and that we have to be nice to expansionist dictatrial regimes – because, after all, making people like us is more important than the possability of parking a nuke in New York harbor.

We learned a good lesson in WW2 Mike. If we let ruthless dictators gain power and expand, it will be more difficult to stop them and the problem simply grows. If Hitler had been stopped at the Munich Putsch, 6 Million Jews and Miliions and Millions of troops, civilians would not have perished.

So do WMD’s really matter? No if your a Liberal and a Republican is president; Yes if your anyone else or if your a liberal and a liberal is in office.

Should we have stopped Saddam? Your damn right we should have.

P.S. I am not referring to the Michael from grab the mic, when I say ‘Mike”.

Thoughts on Russia

June 5th, 2004 by drg

By DRG
FJRP Columnist

Moscow, Russian Federation, June 5—After the attack on America, Russia and the U.S. have arguably come closer in relations that ever before in the past. Vladimir Putin was among the first heads of states to offer support for the war against terrorism and has since become a vital ally. Putin allowed the United States military to station troops in former Soviet republics such as Uzbekistan and Kyrgystan, despite Russian fear of U.S. involvement in traditional Russian areas of influence. The two states have signed a nuclear arms reduction treaty that will reduce the number of atomic weapons by two-thirds. Russia has increased its participation in organizations such as NATO and the WTO. Putin has allowed the former Soviet republics in the Baltic to include themselves in the western military alliance.

U.S. and Russian relations should continue to grow. The war on terrorism is a conflict that both the United States and Russia face on a daily basis. Both states will need intelligence and military support for future operations against terror threats around the world. Russia will be an important partner for NATO expansion and could see its role increase in the military alliance. Nuclear arsenals, resulting from decades of Cold War tensions, have to be continually addressed with reduction as the priority. Russia’s oil reserves may provide the United States an energy option that reduces its dependence on the Middle East or OPEC.

None of these U.S. interests can be achieved if the Russian Federation does not have a stable government. Vladimir Putin has, in the past four years, managed to achieve relative order where the rule of law was too often based on Yeltsin’s decrees. Fears of impeachment, a communist take-over or a nationalist coup all seem to be irrational in today’s Russia. While promoting democracy is important, scolding behind a podium in Washington is not helpful. Russia has, after all, come a long way since the introduction of glasnost and perestroika. U.S.-Russian relations are not only good bilaterally, but also for the entire world. We must therefore not lose sight of this when developing future policy.

Possible blow for Democrats?

June 4th, 2004 by mjg

Clinton’s new book? I don’t know, but all you liberals loved Clinton, he hasn’t really come out against Bush. In his new book he says the following:

“If you go back and read what (Bush) said in the campaign, he’s just doing what he’d said he’d do. You’ve got to give him credit for that.”

Infact, this could really be funny, Clinton may end up costing you guys the election (make no mistake, Bush will win again, but Clinton appears to be helping). It all most appears that he no longer supports the democrat party. Which I don’t blame him; I mean really, it is kinda a worthless party.

See why Kerry isn’t good for your state.

June 1st, 2004 by mjg

Sorry folks, it has been kind of lame lately. Mainly because one of my authors is (right now) on a jet to Russia. Why in the world would he goto Russia you ask? Because the kind people here at FJRP sent him there. My other author, who has yet to post, is also on a jet to Washington D.C. Hopefully he will meet some of our great leaders, such as President Bush, and actually post something. To top it all off my high speed internet STILL isn’t working. Someone came out today to fix it, but failed to do so. I hope to get it back up soon.

Until then, HERE is the reason why Kerry isn’t any good for your state (or the United States for that matter).

Who needs laws?

June 1st, 2004 by spp

If you’re a liberal these days you’re probably feeling pretty good about not having to live by the laws

of the land. It seems like every day I turn around and another wacko judge has just decided to take matters into their own hands and get done what they can’t seem do the legal way. Whether it’s this partial birth abortion issue or gay marriage or whatever, they know they could never get legislation through the correct processes and into law, so they just make up laws through various judges across the country. This really bothers me!! You know what’s worse? The fact that so many younger Americans, regardless of how they feel on the issue, don’t even know the problem with this. They don’t understand the job of a judge. I would like to see an issue like gay marriage or partial birth abortion actually voted on. I bet the left might be a bit surprised at how out of touch they are with the American public.
